Who We Are

Here's the place to come to find out who we are. We would like to publish a brief profile of you. It's not about comparisons. It's a starting point, if you will, on the road to regain that sense of authentic community that once existed during our years at Wakefield.

Come out of hiding, put past grievances aside, rekindle youthful exuberance and let your classmates hear from you. Just take a few minutes to let us know where you are in life. We have no motive other than you are important to us, we care about you and we would like to know how you are doing. We hope you are doing well, of course.

Irene Jenkins Croushorn

- Bachelors degree from Radford College

- Married Tom Nienaber ('69); 1 son, Sean

- Divorced in '85

- Married Ron Croushorn; still happily married

- Lives in Nokesville, VA on family farm

- Worked for FAA until retirement in '99

- Owns own stained glass business; very happy

- Hopes to travel the world one day

Ed Dodson

- Married w/ 3-year old daughter

- Living in Fredericksburg, VA

- 2 older additional children

- Became a grandfather on 11/8/04

Mary Kay Anderson Youngblood

- Lives in the West Virginia panhandle

- Married; 1 child; 2 grandchildren

- 70's: moved "back to the land"

- 80's-90's: taught as a Certified Dance Instructor

- Managed large antique mall for 7 years

- Main interest for past 9 years: "energy healing"

- Will always be a "Nature's Child"

- Main goal: "To change the world :D"

Vickie (Karen Victoria) Meeler

- Living in New Orleans, LA

- Married: 4 children; 6 grandchildren

- Travelled via US Navy. No regrets.

- Found the peace that comes from a

personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

- Wants to be remembered as someone who

was always there to encourage and support.

Linda Ciccolella Marchman

- Happily married for 22 years

- Living in Charlottesville, VA

- Undergraduate work at Florida State

- Masters from Univ. of N. Florida

- Owner of "Social Butterflies".

- Raises butterflies for release at social events

- Grateful for good health, good friends and

good times for the past 35 years

Marion Malone Johnson

- Graduated from UVA

- Works as RN - Labor/Delivery

- Lives in Lafayette, CA

- Married for 36 years to George Johnson,

Professor of ME at UC-Berkley
- 3 children, 1 grandchild

- Daughter: Physicians Asst. at Duke w/ son (1 yr)

- Son, Tyler, who graduated MIT and law school,
lives in Arlington, works in DC
- Youngest son graduated in 2009 from Chapman U.
w/ degree in Vocal Performance

- Terry has two children: ages 3 and 5
- He and his family reside in Woodbridge, VA

- Attended NVCC

- Worked for Arlington Trust as a teller then a bill collector

- Moved to Daytona Beach in '76 to attend Embry Riddle

- Graduated ERAU in'78.(Able to cram 4 years of college

into 8 years!)

- Started with Daytona Beach International Airport in

Airport Operations in '79 and became Director in '85.

- Reside in Daytona Beach, FL

- Married, no children

Pamela Rigdon Parker
- American University, BA
- Marymount University, MEd
- Lives in Marietta, GA
- Divorced/Widowed
- 3 children
- Teaches middle school
- Enjoys travel
- Visited most of the 50 states
- Hopes to see the rest of the world

- Masters degree from Trinity Lutheran Seminary

- Spent 20 years in the Lutheran ministry

in Germany and the Pacific NW

- Left ministry in '94 to work in the HIV/AIDS

community in the NW and northern CA

- Director of the HIV/AIDS Health Services

Planning Council in Sacramento, CA

- Currently living in Pittsburgh, PA with

partner, David and Chow Chow Chino

- Trying to get a book finished but that

may take another reincarnation

Alan Steele

- BS from Va. Tech

- Very happily married to wife,

Rose, since '76

- 2 children; ages 19 & 16

- Truly blessed

- Taught Industrial Arts in

Fairfax County, VA '76 - '82

- Left teaching for career

in sales in '82

- Presently a sales rep for

Sumitomo Drive Technologies

- Living in Richmond, VA

suburbs since '92

- Life is good because God is good

Ginger Ausherman Corcelius

- Married w/ 3 children: 2 girls, 1 boy
- One daughter is a police officer
- One daughter is a Vet Tech in Washington, DC
- Son is a Jr. at Hawaii Pacific University on Oahu
- Unfortunately, has to visit him once each year!

- Lives on a small farm in the Shenandoah Valley
- Works in special education

- Still best friends with Mary Kay Anderson/Youngblood

- She'd like to hear from old friends
- Hopes to attend 40th class reunion
- Looking forward to retirement
- Life is good!

- Lived in Rockville, MD for 20 years, relocated to Dallas, TX in 2007

- Attended the University of Texas and George Washington University

- Employed by Marriott International since '72, retired in 2009

- Took a 6 year hiatus to marry and have kids

- Retired to pursue hobbies and personal interests as a vocation

- Forced to leave grad school

to care for mother who died

in 2006
