The Arlington County Board has moved up the timing of the bond referendum for a new Wakefield building. The Board approved placing the $161 million on the November 2010 ballot. If approved by voters, construction of the new school could begin in 2011. Originally, it was expected that the bonds would be on the 2012 ballot. The new school will be built at the corner of George Mason Drive and Dinwiddie Street. The old school will be torn down. For more information visit wakefieldalumni.org.
